這并不是最壞的時代,我們穆斯林不應當過于消極,歷史上曾有過更糟糕的時代。這個時代的確有不好的方面,可這個時代最大的災難之一,就是學者以及信仰的缺失。然而,就塵世的災難而言,這個階段不值一提,若你讀讀歷史,這個階段真的什么都不是。
這個時代真正的災難,是精神上的災難,而非俗世的災難。若我們真要因這個時代而哭泣,我們就應當為信仰及精神的缺失而哭泣。

These are not bad times. Muslims should not be so negative, there has been much worse times. There are aspects that are bad about this time and certainly one of the greatest calamities of the time is that we do not have a lot of people of knowledge any more and we do not have the levels of deen and things like this, but just in terms of outward dunya calamities, this period is nothing; if you read history, this period is nothing.
The real calamities of this age are spiritual calamities, they are not worldly calamities. So if we are going to weep over the calamities of this age we should be weeping about the lack of religion, about the lack of spirituality, etc.
